This event is an opportunity to hear from current Fast Streamers on the Civil Service Fast Stream. We will introduce the different schemes and talk through the application process, and share our own experiences. There will also be an opportunity to ask any questions. 

The Civil Service Fast Stream is the Civil Service’s flagship leadership development programme, developing people from a wide range of backgrounds who have the potential to become our future senior leaders. We offer a choice of 15 schemes, each within a profession, and the opportunity to contribute to fast-paced work that makes a difference to the whole of society.

The Fast Stream offers competitive minimum starting salaries of £27,000 or £28,000, salary progression on the scheme and earning potential on completion of £45-£55,000.

This event will cover the Fast Stream programme and will also touch on the Early Diversity Internship Programme, a 1-week paid internship for first year undergraduates. We will also mention the Summer Diversity Internship Programme, which is a 6-9 week paid internship for students in their final 2 years of university. 

Regardless of the degree subject you study, there’s a scheme that’s right for you. Many of our schemes also offer the chance to study for a professional qualification. Most are open to graduates with 2:2, as well as 2:1 and first degrees.
