The Government of Canada’s Recruitment of Policy Leaders program, will be hosting an information session in Edinburgh on October 17, 2023 at 3:00-4:30 PM, Room 5.1 in the Lister Learning and Teaching Centre at the University of Edinburgh. The program recruits exceptional candidates into mid to senior-level policy positions in the Canadian public service. The initiative is designed to attract top talent from an array of disciplines, who have the drive and potential to shape the future of Canada’s public policy landscape. Recruits are invited to tackle the nation’s most critical public policy challenges in a dynamic environment. Candidates must be Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents and have a Master’s OR PhD, OR an undergraduate degree and a law degree.
Léticia Villeneuve, a program alumna, will provide an overview of the program and answer questions. Léticia is currently a Senior Policy Officer in the Government of Canada’s Privy Council Office, in the Machinery of Government Secretariat. She holds a DPhil in International Relations from Oxford, where she was an SSHRC doctoral fellow and Rhodes Scholar. She also holds a certificate in Communication and a BA in International Relations and International Law from UQAM, as well as an MPhil in International Relations from Oxford.
